Not only have you said this phrase, but you have heard it multiple times; 2020 will be a year to remember. From the permanent work from home setups and virtual learning to non-existent social calendars, this year is different in a multitude of ways.
With the holiday season upon us, and seasonal gatherings looking different, the one aspect that does not need to change is the amount of joy we can still bring others.
Throughout the pandemic and especially into this holiday season, I have made an effort to shop small for gifts for family and friends. Whether it is a local shop down the road or a small online retailer, my goal is to support all the small businesses out there. Some of these businesses have been a local spot to me for years, while others are newer businesses or ones I was recently introduced by social media.
As a small business owner myself, I know how important it is to shop small and support the local businesses to help “keep the lights on.” That is why I encourage you to think of those small local shops you know and love this holiday season while you are sharing joy with your loved ones.
If you to want to shop small and local, but unsure where to start, I put together a list of some of my favorite places. From clothes and accessories to artwork both in person and online, I am happy to share those with you along with their Black Friday and Small Business Saturday sales! A healthy and bright season to you all and be sure to tag @thehomerevival in all the goodies you find.
Addison Bay has adorable loungewear sets and activewear pieces you can wear beyond the home workout. Be sure to check out their own personal line, which have some of my favorites. They have popup locations, but everything can be found online! Use code: THANKFUL for 25% off site wide (some exclusions) from November 24th thru November 29th. Plus if you spend over a certain amount, you get their exclusive gift tote bag seen here!
I have a lot of golfers in my life, so when a friend introduced me to Claire W Designs on Instagram, I knew it would be the perfect gift. From golf course maps to stadiums, her watercolors are beautifully done and so reasonably priced. Take 20% off all prints Black Friday only (Nov. 27th).
Nellie from everyday wear to special occasions, Nellie by Elizabeth Maar covers it all. We may not have many “special events,” but I have been drawn to their sweaters as it is getting colder here on the east coast. Located in Newtown Square, PA, take 25% off your entire purchase and 40% off one item when you purchase 2 or more items running now until November 28th in-store only.
If you are shopping for newborns or toddlers, check out cBOP located in Haverford, PA. They have fashion forward pieces to everyday wear along with accessories, monogram options and toys. On Black Friday only (Nov. 27th), receive 40% off ALL toys whether over the phone or in person.
The Papery of Philadelphia is near and dear to my heart for many reasons. Not only did they cover all my wedding stationary from the Save the Dates to Thank You notes, but by bringing my vision to life, they helped set the stage for everything else to follow. Now I am working with them on our holiday cards and can’t wait to see them in person! From greeting cards and personalized invitations to small accessories and party goods, you can create so many wonderful gifts with their help. On Friday (Nov. 27th) and Saturday (Nov. 28th), receive 20% off ALL ornaments. Plus keep an eye on their Instragm page this week for additional promotions.
